FALL RIVER – Julia (Piekielniak) Morris, age 74 of Fall River, passed away on Thursday, May 3, 2018 with her loving family by her side. Born in Fall River, Julia was the daughter of the late Frank and Adella H. (Karol) Piekielniak, and the beloved wife of Dennis Morris.
Prior to retiring, Julia worked from 1972-1992 at the Durfee-Attleboro Bank, 1992-1994 for the Bank of Boston, 1994-2007 for South Coast Collaborative, and 2001-2006 for Walmart. She was an active & devoted parishioner of St. Bernard Church in Assonet, a member of its Woman’s Guild and also a member of the St. Dominic’s Church Woman’s Guild. Julia also loved being a volunteer at Charlton Memorial Hospital.
In addition to her husband of Fall River, Julia is survived by her Children: Karen Morris and Kevin Morris (wife Jennifer) both of Swansea; her six grandchildren: Brett, Cally, Owen, Cody, Dylan, and Bella; and her beloved cat “Papi”.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
Family and friends are invited to attend Julia’s wake with urn on Wednesday, May 16, 2018 from 10-11 AM in St. Bernard Church, Assonet, followed by a funeral mass at 11:00 AM. Interment in Notre Dame Cemetery.
