Katherine J. Doucette, 59

Dateline: Norton, MA

Katherine J. (McMillan) Doucette, age 59, of Norton, passed away in the presence of her loving family on Wednesday, May 2, 2018 at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston. She was the beloved wife of Kenneth J. Doucette, to whom she was wed on June 23, 1979.

Born in Boston, MA on November 22, 1958, she was a loving daughter of the late Robert J. and Rosemary K. (McGowan) McMillan.

Kathy lived in North Weymouth and was a 1977 graduate of North Weymouth High School. She had made her home in Norton for the past 24 years and was employed as a logistics coordinator at Specialty Commerce in West Bridgewater.

Kathy loved spending time with her family and amongst friends. While her sons were attending school, she enjoyed attending and proudly cheering them on during their sporting events. She had a special place in her heart for animals and was anticipating the upcoming birth of twin grandsons.

A communicant of St. Mary’s Church in Norton, Kathy’s hobbies included ceramics, extensively scrapbooking, being a competitive Uno player and especially looking forward to her “Girl Dates.”

In addition to her beloved husband of nearly thirty-nine years, she is survived by her dear and devoted sons Michael R. Doucette and his wife Sade of Cumberland, RI, Thomas J. Doucette of Charlestown, Darren M. Doucette and his longtime girlfriend Darleen of Norton and Adam E. Doucette of Norton. She was the adoring grandmother of Mikey Doucette and Leo Doucette, and is also survived by her loving three nieces, one nephew, as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend her Mass of Christian burial celebrated on Friday, May 11th at 10:00 A.M. in St. Mary’s Church, 1 Power St., Norton. Burial will be private.

Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, May 10th from 5:00-9:00 P.M. at the Norton Memorial Funeral Home, 19 Clapp St. (Off Route 140, Taunton Ave.) Norton.

In lieu of flowers, Kathy’s family would prefer that donations in her memory be made to the Neurosurgical Intensive Care Unit at Brigham & Women’s Hospital, 75 Francis St., Boston, MA 02115.
