Peter Erhardt, 60, of Natick, died peacefully Wednesday evening, May 2, 2018 with his loving wife and son by his side.
Peter was born in Hungary in March of 1958 to the late Geza Erhardt and Klara Meszaros. Peter attended the University of Pecs in Hungary and received his medical degree in 1982. Gyongyi and Peter were married in 1987, moved to the United States in 1991 and began a family with the birth of their son Peter in 1995.
Mr. Erhardt worked in Dana Farber and eventually started his own Research Lab at Boston Biomedical Research Institute in Watertown. He researched heart failure and had published many papers and scientific journals. He worked right up to his retirement in 2012.
He is survived by his wife Gyongyi Molnar and his son Peter M. Erhardt of Natick, his brother Geza Erhardt and his wife Edit Szorenyi, his niece Nora Erhardt and nephew Zoltan Erdardt and sister-in-law Gabriella Molnar and her family all of Hungary.
A Funeral Service will be celebrated in First Congregational Church, 2 E Central Street, Natick, on Tuesday, May 8th at 1:30 P.M. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held Tuesday 11:00 A.M. – 1:00 P.M. prior to service from the John Everett & Sons Funeral Home, 4 Park Street, at Natick Common.
