Cecelia Joanne Jefferson, 64, of Omega passed away Monday, April 30, 2018, at Tift Regional Medical Center. Her funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, May 5, 2018, at Omega Baptist Church with the Rev. Allen Mullis officiating. Andy Hornbuckle will offer a eulogy. Ms. Jefferson will be laid to rest at the First Baptist Church of Ty Ty Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday, May 5, 2018, from 1:00 p.m. until the hour of the service at Omega Baptist Church.
Ms. Jefferson’s family members will serve as pallbearers.
Born January 10, 1954 in Albany, Ms. Jefferson was the daughter of the late Robert Bodie Jefferson and Lucille Ethridge Jefferson. She was a retired registered nurse and a member of Omega Baptist Church. She loved her grandkids; loved to talk to her friends on the phone; and loved to crochet. She always made sure everyone had what they needed. She had lived in Omega for the last 20 years.
Ms. Jefferson is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Christopher Lynwood and Amanda Scott of Brunswick; one brother, Robert Ronald Jefferson of Ty Ty; one sister and brother-in-law, Joan and Richard Tucker of Ty Ty; five grandchildren, Nevaeh Scott, Carissa Scott, Priscilla Housand, Sierra Cochran and Dylan Jones; one great-grandson, Levi Housand; a nephew, Tyler Tucker of Ty Ty; a niece and her husband, Staci and Jamie Mullis of Brookfield; a great-nephew, Chase Mullis; and a great-niece, Natalie Wadsworth.
