SOUTH HADLEY ~ Vincenza C. “Amy” (Consiglio) Blankenship, 89, of South Hadley, was Called Safely Home on Wednesday, April 4, 2018 at Holyoke Medical Center. She was born in Rome, Italy on July 17, 1928, a daughter of the late Alfonso and Agatina (Zito) Consiglio. She was predeceased by: her husband, Elvis R. Blankenship who was Called Home on September 12, 1985; her five sisters; and her brother. She leaves: her two sons, Alan C. Blankenship of Chicopee and Robert A. Blankenship of Tucson, AZ; her two grandchildren, Amy Blankenship-Heidebrecht and her husband, Brian Heidebrecht, and Alan R. Blankenship; her six great-grandchildren, Brooke, Taylor and Reid Heidebrecht, Sam Gentile, and Aviah and Carter Blankenship; her sister, Rosa Benita (Consiglio) Trasimeni , and her niece, Emanuela Trasimeni, of Italy; her dear friends and caretakers, Gino S. Viamari, Sr. and his fiancée, Jennifer Arble, of South Hadley, Beverly Burns of Springfield and James Lowe of South Hadley; and her “grandsons”, Gino Viamari, Jr. and Randy Viamari. Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, May 19, 2018 at 9 a.m. at Saint Patrick Church, 30 Main Street, South Hadley, MA 01075.
