FALL RIVER – Geraldine Cowen, age 69 of Fall River, passed away on Sunday, April 29, 2018 at St. Anne’s Hospital with her loving family by her side. She was the daughter of the late Alden B. & Hermina V. (Anselmo) Cowen. In Geraldine’s earlier years, she had worked as a trimmer & turner in the garment mfg. industry & also as a housekeeper. She loved to visit Foxwoods, play bingo, visit with her friends at the local senior centers, and spending valuable time with her beloved family.
She is survived by her children: Michael Cowen (husband Felipe Marin-Cowen) of Fall River and Cheryl Deschenes (husband Michael) of Waycross, GA; siblings: Eileen Boucher & Linwood Cowen both of Swansea; 3 grandchildren: Bethany Smith, Ashley Barnes, & Michael Deschenes II; 5 great grandchildren: Cason Barnes, Solas & Taylan Smith, Anakin Barnes, & Michiaim Smith; many nieces & nephews. She was the sister of the late Alden B. Cowen Jr., Edward, David, Leonard, Lewis, Thomas Cowen, & Cynthia L. Botelho.
