John E. Webster, II, 79 of Wells, ME died Friday April 6, 2018 at the Portsmouth Regional Hospital, Portsmouth, NH. Mr. Webster was born in Holyoke, MA on May 6, 1938, a son of the late John E. and Vera (Wentworth) Webster. He had resided for the past 30 years in Wells, ME, formerly living in Londonderry, NH. Mr. Webster served in the NH House of Representatives, was an elder in the Londonderry Presbyterian Church, and served the Town of Londonderry as a Selectman. He also designed the coat of arms for the Londonderry Police Dept. He was very proud to be a part of the town of Londonderry.
He is survived by his wife, Gail (Kelly) Webster of Wells, ME, one son, Mark Webster and his wife Jessica of Wells, ME, one sister, Marilyn Ham of Derry, NH, as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two sons, John Webster, III, and Bradford Webster both in 1972.
Following cremation, graveside services will be held on Monday, May 7th at 1:00pm in Glenwood Cemetery, Mammoth Rd., Londonderry. The Peabody Funeral Homes are assisting the family with arrangements.
