Obituary

Albert R. "Rick" Midgley Jr, 60, of Hudson, NH, passed away Friday, April 27, 2018 at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Boston, MA surrounded by his loving family and close friends. He was born on February 24, 1958 in Lawrence, MA, a son of Albert R. Midgley Sr and the late Madelyn R. “Bobbie” Midgley. Albert loved the North Country of NH where he enjoyed spending time fishing, hunting and snowmobiling as a member of the Pittsburg Ridge Runners Snowmobile Club. He took pleasure in spending time at the beach, watching the boats come in, the seals sun on the rocks or other fisherman casting away. He always enjoyed watching for Cardinals and making his infamous Whoopie Pies, brownies and cookies. Al followed all New England sports and was a lifelong Red Sox fan. He also loved everything Harley and Chevy. He was never too busy or unwilling to lend a hand, to anyone, anywhere. Above all, he was happiest when spending time with his friends and family, especially his beloved granddaughter Maddyson.

He is survived by his two children, Richard A. Midgley and his wife Kathryn along with their daughter Maddyson of Hudson, and Stephanie M. Midgley and her fiancé Justin Davolio of Hollis, his father Albert R. Midgley Sr of Hampstead, two sisters, Denise LeBoeuf and her husband Mark LeBoeuf of Hudson and Susan Kawa and her husband Edward Kawa Jr. of Danville, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Following cremation, memorial calling hours were held on Saturday, May 5, 2018 from 1 – 4pm at Peabody Funeral Home, 290 Mammoth Road, Londonderry.
