Ray enjoyed Big Band, Saturday races, watching sports with his family, and the simple pleasures of basking in the sun. His warmest memories were of times with his wife by his side; being with his family; watching his children grow, delighting in being a grandfather, and summers on Akers Pond with his sweetheart.
Mr. Vachon was past treasurer for U.S. Hockey, and former umpire for over 25 years to high school teams and Tewksbury Little League.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two children, Derek P. Vachon and his wife Kimberly (Dukeshire) of Stoneham, and Kimberly Vachon and her husband Robert Marques of Methuen; beloved Pepere to Colby and Jaslyn Marques and Hannah and Gabrielle Vachon; two sisters, Doris Hiscock of Plymouth, and Pauline Gemetti of Berlin, NH; and many extended family members.
