CUMBERLAND FORESIDE- Bouton Carol Ann, age 75 passed away on April 28, 2018 at Gosnell Memorial Hospice House in Scarborough, Maine. Carol died after a brief illness.
She was born in Long Island New York on April 2,1943, a daughter of the late Herbert and Gay Such. Carol graduated from West Islip High School, Carol went on to attend SUNY at New Paltz. She received her Masters Degree in Education. After graduation she taught school in the Hudson Valley for several years.
Carol married Dale C. Bouton in 1966. They were married for 52 years. Carol and Dale moved to Maine in 1974. During those years, Carol taught school, raised a family, worked with church and charity groups. She loved antiques and boating on the ocean with her husband. In 1987 Carol founded and was president of her family company Winter People Inc. Winter People has grown to be a company with 25 employees that sell Promotional Products and Uniform to Hotels and Restaurants worldwide.
Carol is predeceased by a brother Alan Such who died in 1968 and her son Scott Christopher who died of SIDS in 1972. Carol is survived by her husband Dale C. Bouton, her son Clay Bouton, her sister-in -law Pat Bouton and her grandchildren Anna Bouton and Reed Bouton.
A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday May 9th at 1:00 PM at The Congregational Church of Cumberland, Maine. The address is 282 Main St. A reception will follow the service at Louie’s Grill in Cumberland, Maine.
