Anne Marie (Ryan) McCarron, a lifelong resident of Charlestown, entered into eternal life on Friday, April 27, 2018 at her sons home. She was 85 years of age.
Anne Marie was born in Charlestown on May 8, 1932, a daughter of the late William L. Ryan and Helen B. (Kiley) Ryan. She grew up in Charlestown where she was educated in the Boston Public School system and graduated from Charlestown High School. Anne Marie worked for over 12 years as an Order Filler for McKesson Pharmaceuticals. Anne Marie was very involved in the Charlestown community always volunteering at many civic activities and always concerned with the political process that would affect Charlestown. She was a strong advocate and member of C.H.A.D (Charlestown Against Drugs). She enjoyed photography and the Christmas strolls in Charles Newtowne. She was passionate about her ancestry background and found many family members over the years throughout the world thru Ancestry.com.
Anne Marie is the beloved wife of the late James McCarron and Leo Donahue. She is the devoted mother of Sharon Konstantinidis and her husband Dimitrios, Debbie Mijal and her husband Bruce, Joseph "Gil" Donahue and his wife Janet, Willy Donahue and his fiancé Yvonne Salcedo, Barbara Simon, Jim McCarron and his wife Jennifer and the late Helen Donahue and Judi Donahue. She is the loving Gram to 14 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. She is the beloved sister of Dorothy Stewart, William Ryan, Helene Malone and the late Barbara Smith, Claire Martino and Eleanor Breslin. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Anne Marie's Funeral on Wednesday, May 2, 2018 at 9 A.M. from The Carr Funeral Home, 220 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown followed by her Funeral Mass in St. Mary's Church, 55 Warren St. Charlestown at 10 A.M. Her burial will be at Holy Cross Cemetery in Malden. Her visiting hours will be on Tuesday, May 1, 2018 from 4 to 8 P.M. in the funeral home.
