Richard J. “Rick” Sullivan, 61 of Londonderry, NH died Friday April 27, 2018 at the High Pointe House in Haverhill, MA. Rick was born in Malden, MA on July 25, 1956, a son of the late Daniel F. and Claire M. (Dillon) Sullivan. He had resided in Londonderry for the past 26 years, formerly living in Wakefield, MA where he was raised and educated. Rick served as a tank driver in Germany with the US Army. He retired from the MBTA where he had been employed from 23 years as a diesel mechanic. Rick loved spending time with his family and friends and was an avid fisherman.
He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Sharon (Fleming) Sullivan, daughter, Kelleigh Sullivan and longtime boyfriend, Scott Hudson of Londonderry, NH, along with two brothers, Kenneth Sullivan and his wife Pamela, Barry Sullivan and his wife Judy. He is also survived by nephew, Michael Woods, mother-in-law, Eileen Fleming, brother-in-law, Joseph D. Fleming III, and, sister-in-law, Lynne Woods. Rick was predeceased by brother, Stephen Sullivan, his nephew, John Woods III and father-in-law, Joseph D. “Buzzy” Fleming, Jr.
Following cremation, calling hours were held on Wednesday May 2, 2018 from 3 – 6 pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 290 Mammoth Rd., Londonderry. A service of remembrance was held at 6:00 pm with military honors that followed.
