ENGLEWOOD FLORIDA: Linda Lee (Wilkinson) McGonagle, 78, died on Thursday, March 15, 2018 at the Tidwell Hospice House in Englewood, FL surrounded by her family.
She was born in Norfolk, Virginia on October 21, 1939 the daughter of the late William H. Wilkinson and Kitty-Belle (Suggs) Wilkinson.
Linda was the wife for 57 years of the late Philip F. McGonagle who died on November 8, 2014.
She was the beloved mother of Michael McGonagle of Alford; Kellie Lavner and her husband Bob Lavner of Worcester; Philip McGonagle, Jr of Sarasota, FL and Marc McGonagle and his wife Michelle McGonagle of Concord, NH. Also survived by 11 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Sister of Nancy Choate and her husband Francis Choate of GA; Patricia Meuse and her husband James Meuse of FL; William Wilkinson, Jr and his wife Helena Wilkinson of FL; Betty Barrett and her husband John Barrett of Andover; Robert Wilkinson and his wife Martha-Ann Wilkinson of GA, the late Sandra Korengel and Kitty Blackwell. Linda also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews.
Linda was a longtime resident of Wayland and graduated from Wayland High School with the Class of 1957. She and Phil retired and spent many wonderful years in Florida.
Graveside services will be held on Friday, May 18, 2018 at 11:00 am at the McGonagle family lot in Lakeview Cemetery, 80 Commonwealth Road (Rte. 30), Wayland with Pastor Ted Crass of Community United Methodist Church officiating.
