Geraldine Ring Stringer, 62, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Thursday, April 26, 2018, at her sister’s residence in Abbeville.
Funeral services will be held 3 PM, Sunday, April 29, 2018, at The Paulk Funeral Home Chapel, in Fitzgerald, with the Rev. Dewain Joiner officiating. Interment will be private. The family will receive friends Saturday evening, from 6 PM until 8 PM, at the funeral home in Fitzgerald.
Ms. Stinger was born February 18, 1956, in Fitzgerald, Georgia, to the late Edward Eugene & Audrey Register Ring. She lived in the community all of her life and was a seamstress with Irwin Manufacturing and worked in environmental services at Dorminy Medical Center. Ms. Stringer loved horses and dogs. She was a member of the Ocilla Church of God.
She is survived by her children: Jason C. Stringer & Jennifer of Macon and Joshua R. Stringer & Kari of Fitzgerald; six grandchildren: Ryan Stringer, Haydon Stringer, Ceirra Stringer, Chelsea Oyer, Brittany Oyer and Brooke Bresnahan and one great-grandson, Ashdon Oyer; a brother, Felton Ring of Fitzgerald and a sister, Vivian & Johnny Rathburn of Abbeville; her step-mother, Laverne Ring of Fitzgerald; step-sisters: Sandra Ann Butler of Americus, Sherrie Butler of Cordele and Wanda Gay Hyleman of Dawson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant daughter; a brother, Robert Daniel Ring and a step-brother, James Calvin Massey.
