In Taunton, April 26, 2018 Janet L. (Whalon) Bonenfant Gnass, Age 69, passed away unexpectedly following a brief illness in Marian Manor Nursing home. Janet is survived by her husband Per Gnass of Taunton. She was born in Taunton, the daughter of the late Erwin & Henrietta (McGuire) Whalon. Janet was employed for the H & L Bloom Company and also the Gatra Company. She enjoyed collecting antiques, camping on Cape Cod and visiting Canada. Janet is survived by her two sons, Brian Bonenfant and wife Teresa of Taunton and Craig Bonenfant and wife Alcina of Taunton. She also leaves her siblings, Henrietta McGuire of Taunton, Carolyn Frates of Taunton, Glenn Whalon of NH and Erwin “Bud” Whalon of Taunton. Janet also leaves her grandchildren, Tanya Donnelly, Sophia, Teresa and Sarah Bonenfant and Jake Bonenfant all of Taunton. Funeral home visiting hours will be held on Monday, April 30th in the O’Keefe-Wade Funeral Home, 70 Washington St., Taunton, Ma 02780 from 10-12pm. A funeral home service will follow at 12 pm. Burial will be on Friday, May 4th in Dighton Unitarian Cemetery at 1pm.
