SANBORTON – Scot A. Smith, of Sanbornton, passed away on April 19, 2018. He was born January 3, 1964 to Everett Skinner and Gloria (Taylor) Smith.
Scot drove a cab for 7 years in Laconia. He loved spending time with his grandchildren; they were his sunshine. He was looking forward to greeting his newest granddaughter expected in July with the familiar “Happy Birthday”! Just as he had greeted his other three grandchildren at birth. Scot was the ultimate jokester but always had a huge heart with good intentions. We will miss his laugh. He also enjoyed fishing with his beloved dogs; Bear and Emily.
Scot is survived by his mother, Gloria (Taylor) Skinner and father, Rev Everett Skinner; his wife of 33 years, Kathy M. Smith; two daughters, Lisa Smith with her partner Richard Bixby and Cassandra Rhoads with her husband Christopher Rhoads; three grandchildren, McKayla Rhoads, Liam Rhoads, and Gracey Bixby and another baby girl expected to join us in July; three brothers, Dennis Smith, Seth Smith and Christian Skinner; two sisters, Charity Skinner and Hope Skinner and several nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his sister Denise Smith.
Calling hours will be held on Monday, April 30, 2018 from 6:00pm - 8:00pm at the Wilkinson-Beane-Simoneau-Paquette Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia NH using the Carriage House entrance.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Joseph Parish, 96 Main Street, Belmont on Tuesday, May 1, 2018 at 10:00 AM.
Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Garfield Street, Laconia NH.
