Leus Chery (96) of Brockton died April 26th in the Boston Medical Center. He was the husband of the late Martha Laguerre.
He was born in Jacmel, Haiti son of the late Voltaire Chery and Tercilia Benjamin. Leus worked as a tailor by trade in Haiti. He enjoyed attending St. Gregory's Church in Dorchester and gardening.
Leus is survived by 3 sons, Jean Doret Chery and Eddy Castro Chery both of Haiti and Lesly Chery of Pennsylvania, 2 daughters, Marie Josseline Chery-Vernet of Hyde Park and Sonia Desir of Florida, a brother Jerome-Anita Chery of Haiti, 16 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
Funeral Services in St. Gregory's Church 2223 Dorchester Avenue Boston Friday May 11th at 11 am. Burial will follow in St. Michael's Cemetery 500 Canterbury Street Boston. Visitation in the Home of Funerarias Multi Culturel 238 Court Street Brockton Thursday May 10th 7-9 pm.
