Mary Twumasiwaa, 72, passed away unexpectedly on February 12, 2018 from short illiness.She was born in Ghana on February 18, 1945 daughter to late Isaac Obeng & Emelia Korantemaa. She worked for many years in the Home Health Aid and owns her own business in Ghana. Ms. Mary Twumasiwaa was a parishioner at Presbyterian Church of Ghana, where she was active in the church Singing Band & the Women fellowship. A "mother to all" she will be fondly remembered for her contagious smile her love of jokes, dance and the many delicious meals she prepared for her family & friends.
Besides her husband Osei Kwabena, she leaves her brothers Hinson Acquaah, Isaac Obeng, Ghana, Dr. James Appiah Pimppim, Georgia, Julius Osei, & William Osei Amoah, New York. Sisters Mrs. Mercy Smith, Helina Aboagyewaa, Diana Obeng, Susan Osei, Grace Osei, Ghana Mary Osei , New Jersey, Mrs. Janet Duodu, London, Sonia Ofori Boateng, South Carolina,. A son Benjamin Twum Ampofo, a daughter Beatrice Owusu & husband Maxwell all of Worcester; six grandchildren Odette Agyei, Ghana, Jeffrey Attah, California, Esther Boama-Nyarko, John Nyarko, Jessica Owusu and Jacqueline Owusu all in Worcester. Two great grandchildren, Dylen & Jolene Diana Awunigaten, Ghana.
Mary T’s family wishes to thank the Christopher House, UMass Memorial University Campus (Lakeside ICU & Step Down Units) & Rose Monahan Hospice for the tremendous care that they provided to her during her illness.
Visiting hours will be on Friday, May 11th from 5:00p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the CALLAHAN FAY & CASWELL Funeral Home, 61 Myrtle St., Worcester and again on Saturday, May 12th from 8:00 a.m. until 9:00 a.m. at Presbyterian Church of Ghana, 5 Chestnut Street, Worcester. Burial will follow at Notre Dame Cemetery.
