Mary Theresa (Mitchell) Hodkinson, R.N., entered into eternal life on April 22, 2018 surrounded by her children at home. Mary, the daughter of the late William J. and Ann Cecilia Grace Mitchell, was born in Fall River. As the beloved wife of the late Charles J. Hodkinson Sr., Mary is the mother of Edward, Peter, William, Ann-Margaret and the late Kathleen- Ann Hodkinson and Charles J. Hodkinson Jr. Mary, the youngest sister of the late Dorothy Crosman, Edward Mitchell, Peter, William, and Michael Mitchell, had thirty-three nephews and nieces. After graduating from Mt. St. Marys Academy and St. Annes School of Nursing, Mary went on to work many diversified jobs in nursing, and worked at Taunton State Hospital and Our Ladys Haven. She was a member of the Legion of Mary where she met her beloved husband. Mary was a missionary nurse in Guiamaca Honduras and a great friend of the Dominican Sisters of the Presentation, Dighton MA. She was a Eucharistic minister and a communicant of Immaculate Conception, Holy Name, St. Annes and St. Josephs Parishes. The Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at Holy Name Church, Hanover St., Fall River MA on Saturday April 28 at 10am and all are invited to attend. Interment will be at Notre Dame Mausoleum.
