Margaret M. "Peg" Johnson, 88, of Londonderry, NH, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Monday, April 23, 2018 in Londonderry, NH. She was born in Kearny, NJ on April 15, 1930, a daughter of Adam and Jessie (Lamont) Muir, and had been a resident of Londonderry for the past 15
years, formerly living in Middlebury, VT. For 30 years.
Peg and her late husband started and operated 3 businesses in New Jersey and Vermont. She also worked 19 years in 2 different medical practices in Middlebury, VT prior to moving to NH in 2002. Peg was Ms. Senior NH in 2008, and represented the state in the national Ms. Senior America pageant in Atlantic City. She was a CASA guardian ad Litem for neglected and abused children, she was also a volunteer at RSVP, Derry Caregivers, Londonderry Senior Center and an usher and singer at the Londonderry United Methodist Church. Peg's greatest love was her children and grandchildren, whom she truly cherished.
She is survived by three daughters, Trish Slaski and husband Jeff, Linda Johnson-Rotberg and husband Saul, Karen Malta; son, Kenneth Johnson; nine grandchildren, Christopher and Kimberly Johnson, Braden Rotberg, Britt Rotberg-Wolfe, Christopher and Matthew Malta, Marissa Malta-Caruso, Ryan J.
and Alexa L. Slaski; sister Norma Duffy and several nieces and nephews.
Margaret was predeceased by her husband Earl A. Johnson, Jr., brother, Joseph Muir and daughter-in-law, Roberta Johnson.
A private graveside will be held in Middlebury, VT. The Peabody Funeral Homes & Crematorium, 15 Birch St. Derry, NH is assisting the family with arrangments.
