Therese Brouillard, 89, passed away peacefully at Baystate Medical Center surrounded by her loving family on Apr 19, 2018. She was born in Chicopee on Sept 15, 1928 to the late Orphir and Victoria (Charland) Chapdelaine. She was a communicant of the former Assumption Parish before joining St. Rose de Lima Parish. She retired from Super Brush in Chicopee. She enjoyed knitting and crocheting, going to the casinos and playing mahjong at the Chicopee Senior Center, where she sometimes worked as a volunteer. She predeceased her beloved husband and best friend of 70 years, Robert Brouillard, who passed away on Apr 22, 2018. They were married on Apr 17, 1948 at Assumption Church. Therese was predeceased by 5 brothers Teddy, Maurice, Rudy, Henry and Roger and 3 sisters Cecile, Myrna and Grace. Therese leaves 2 sons, Paul (Linda) and Denis (Kathy) all of Enfield; 2 daughters Suzanne Nally (Paul Black) and Diane Webster (Russell) of Feeding Hills; sisters-in-law Doris LaBonte and Claire Chapdelaine, both of Chicopee; 6 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, Apr 30, 2018 at 11am at St. Rose de Lima Church in Chicopee. Burial will follow in the St. Rose de Lima Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Sunday, Apr 29, 2018 from 4 to 7pm at the Grise Funeral Home, 280 Springfield St, Chicopee, MA. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society or to the charity of one’s choice.
