LIMINGTON- Dorothy P. Haley, age 100, passed away on April 23, 2018 at Southridge Living Center in Biddeford.
She was born in Limerick on Oct. 11, 1917, a child of the late William and Jennie (Garland) Plaisted and graduated from Limerick High School.
She was a member of the Limington Grange, the former Adnah Chapter – Order of the Eastern Star where she served as Past Matron, Pleasant River Chapter – OES, and was a member of the South Limington Baptist Church.
Dorothy will always be remembered for her love of family. She was also proud to have raised her children on the family farm. She enjoyed cooking – especially making donuts and biscuits, braiding rugs, and crocheting.
She is predeceased by her husband- Robert Stanley Haley in 1979; a son- Brian Haley; and her brother- Ernold Plaisted.
Dorothy is survived by her children- Bruce Haley and his wife Kathleen of Limington, Ralph and his wife Lorri of The Villages, FL, and Mark Haley of Limington; grandchildren- Andrea, Heather, Robert, Stephanie, and Jennifer; step grandchildren- Scott, Randy and Marie; several great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Dorothy’s family would like to thank the staff at Southridge for the care and support provided.
Visitation will be held Saturday April 28 from 4 – 5 PM, followed by a 5 PM funeral service at the Poitras, Neal & York Funeral Home, 71 Maple St., Cornish. Pastor Will Rankin will officiate.
