Robert Steven “Stevie” Davis, 58 of Laconia died April 24, 2018 after a brief battle with ALS at the Jack Burns Hospice Center at Dartmouth.
He was born in Laconia on March 18, 1960, the son of James W. Davis Sr. and Carole A. (White) Davis. He attended Laconia High School and was known as Stevie to everyone who knew him and was a kind hearted, free spirited person. He loved walking and had a big smile with a warm hello for everyone he knew. He loved animals, his favorites being Daisy Mae and Baby Kitty, who he treated lovingly with kindness and gentleness.
Stevie struggled many years with mental illness and most recently with ALS also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease.
Stevie is survived by his mother Carole A. Davis of Gilford, his brother James W. Davis Jr., of Concord, his sister Patricia A. Davis-Gavell of Laconia and his sister-in-law Linda Davis of Belmont. Stevies nieces and nephews, Kristina and Mike Edy, Stephanie and John Allard, April and Claude Gurghian, Anthony Gavell, Brytnee Gavell and fiancé Beau Huntoon and Ryan Davis will miss his laughter and sense of humor. Stevie was predeceased by his father James W. Sr. and his maternal Grandparents who were a major part of his life, Clifford S. White Sr. and Theresa (Vandell) White of Laconia.
There will be no calling hours, a private family burial will be held in the family plot at the Union Cemetery.
