Ralph Eugene Stracke, 90, of Albany passed away Tuesday, April 24, 2018, at Wynfield Park Health and Rehab in Albany. A graveside funeral service will be held for Mr. Stracke at 2:00 p.m. Friday, April 27, 2018, at Lenox Cemetery, where he will be laid to rest. The Rev. Joseph L. Crumley will officiate. The family will receive friends Thursday, April 26, 2018, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Friday, April 27, 2018, at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals,
Born February 29, 1928 in Cook County, Mr. Stracke was the son of the late Charles Stracke and Martha Campbell Stracke. He was also preceded in death by one granddaughter, Kacey Stracke; two brothers; and two sisters. He retired from the Tift County Board of Education Bus Shop; and, before working at the bus shop, he worked for Burkhalter and Prince Chevrolet for 15 years. He and his wife enjoyed hosting at the State Campgrounds for the State of Georgia and, in his younger years, he enjoyed playing in a band. He was of the Baptist faith.
Mr. Stracke is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Hall Stracke of Albany; two sons, Ricky Stracke and Verna Davis of Albany and Vince Lee and Brenda Stracke of Tifton; and one granddaughter, Kimberly Stracke of Yakima, Washington.
