Abner Decimus (88) of Canton died April 23rd in the Boston Medical Center. He was the husband of Acellege (Leger) Decimus.
He was born in Cotes-de-Fer, Haiti son of the late Desina and Iloriette (Mar Ceau) Decimus and was a farmer in his native land. Abner enjoyed in his younger years riding horses and attending rooster fighting events.
In addition to his wife he is survived by his son Ilne Decimus of Brockton, 4 daughters Onithe Decimus Chella of Canton, Rosalina, Elcie and Nancy Decimus all of Florida, 12 grandchildren and a great grandchild, a brother Monera Decimus and a sister Milia Decimus Bouquet both of Haiti.
Funeral Mass in St. Edith Stein Church 71 East Main Street Brockton Saturday May 5th at 9 am. Burial will follow in Melrose Cemetery. Visitation in the Home of Funerarias Multi Culturel 238 Court Street Brockton Friday May 4th from 6-8 pm.
