TEWKSBURY - Stephen Anthony Valente Jr., age 74, a former Tewksbury Businessman, died unexpectedly at Lowell General Hospital on Monday, April 23. He was the beloved husband of Elizabeth J. (Kilpatrick) Valente, with whom he had celebrated a fifty-third wedding anniversary this past June.
He was born in Woburn, one of six children of the late Stephen A. Sr., and Harriet (French), and raised in Wilmington. He had lived the greater part of his life in Tewksbury, where he raised his family, and had moved to Lowell ten years ago.
He founded and operated Valente’s Carpet Service in Tewksbury until retirement.
Besides his wife, he leaves four children, Pamela Valente of NH, Tina Pulley and her husband Lindon Jr., of Haverhill, Stephen Valente III and his wife Kathy of Lowell, Tony Valente and his wife Suzette also of Lowell; eight grandchildren, Johnny and Shawn Perry, Jessica, Courtney and Lindon Pulley III, Samantha, Ashley, and Joseph Valente; siblings, Catherine Donnelly of Billerica, Margaret Valente of NH, Dana Valente and his wife Pamela of Atkinson, NH, Wendy Valente of TN; many nieces and nephews; and was predeceased by his brother Michael Valente.
