Mrs. Mary E. (Minice) Pereira, of Taunton, entered into rest Sunday, April 22 at her residence following a lengthy illness. She was the beloved wife of Jose H. Pereira. She was born 67 years ago in Newcastle, Pa., the daughter of the late Frank Minice and Lorraine (Dion) Cistaro. She was educated in Brockton and had been a Brockton resident for many years. Prior to her retirement, Mary had been employed as a Home Health Aide for BAMSI for a number of years. She enjoyed visiting Foxwoods and Twin River and spending time with and vacationing with her family and friends. She attended Holy Family Church in East Taunton.
In addition to her husband, she leaves: 1 son: Douglas Brown of Bridgewater; 1 daughter: Michelle Brown of New Hampshire; 1 stepdaughter: Melanie Pereira of Taunton; 1 sister: Donna Shipley and her husband, Joe of Texas; 1 brother: Frank Minice and his wife, Dorna of Arizona; 8 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, and 4 nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial to which relatives and friends are invited will be celebrated at Holy Family Church, Middleboro Avenue, East Taunton, on Thursday, May 3 at 10:00 A.M. The family will receive visitors following the Mass in the Church Hall. Expressions of sympathy in her memory may be made to the Dana Farber Cancer Institute, P.O.
