Norma Israel Denham, 86, of Sycamore passed away Sunday, April 22, 2018 at her residence.
Mrs. Denham was born in Dougherty County, Georgia on September 14, 1931 to the late L. J. and Mattie R. Bryant Israel. She was a housewife and retired from the banking industry having worked at Citizens Bank of Ashburn and Community National Bank of Ashburn. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution as well as the United Daughters of the Confederacy. She was also a faithful member of Bethel Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Benny Denham of Sycamore; son, Nick (Cheryl) Denham of Sycamore; sister, Evelyn I. Morrison of Ashburn; grandchildren, Kristi (Chad) Gilley; great-grandchildren, Kaylee Miller, Ayden Gilley and Grace Gilley; step-grandchildren, Cory (Shannon) Kendrick and Kelsey (Brian) Davis; step-great-grandchild, Riley Kendrick.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a son, Gregory Lynn Denham.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, April 24, 2018 at Bethel Baptist Church with interment to follow at Rose Hill Cemetery. The family will greet friends Tuesday at the church from 12:30-1:45.
