Deborah J Oldziey, of Medford, died on Saturday, April 21st at the Lawrence Memorial Hospital of Medford surrounded by her loving family. She was 50. Born in Arlington and raised in Medford. She was the daughter of Andrew and the late Kathryn T. (Fralick) Costa.
Deborah had a contagious smile and this sassiness about her that could brighten any room. When her mother Kathryn passed in 2016, Deborah took on the role of becoming the matriarch of the family. She would call everyone in the family to remind them of special dates, birthdays, holidays, card's to who, and where to they needed to be sent. Deborah was the family's event planner and did all the planning with grace and ease.
Deborah was the cherished daughter of Andrew and the late Kathryn T. (Fralick) Costa. She was the devoted mother of Kyle and Caitlyn Oldziey, the loving grandmother of Lia and Anthony. Dear sister of Andrew Costa and his wife Lisa of Medford, Stephen Costa and his wife Susan of Burlington and Chris Costa and his partner Michelle of New Hampshire. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Her funeral will be from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main Street, Medford on Wednesday, April 25th at 10 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in Saint Raphael Church, 512 High Street, Medford, at 11 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Tuesday 4 - 8 PM. Burial will be private.
