Margaret E. (Barrett) Holst, 75, of Franklin died Saturday, April 21, 2018 at the Medway Country Manor. She was the beloved wife of 56 years to Paul L. Holst, Sr.
Born in London, England on February 5, 1942, she was the daughter of the late Harold and Eleanor (Hawkins) Barrett.
Mrs. Holst was a resident of Franklin since 1963. She was a social worker at Wrentham Developmental Center for 28 years until her retirement.
Mrs. Holst was an active member of the Franklin Federated Church where she a member of the Warm Puppies. Throughout her life, she was always very helpful to those in need.
Mrs. Holst was an avid reader and loved nature and animals.
Besides her husband, she is survived by her son Paul L. Holst, Jr. of Frederick, Maryland, her daughter Stephanie Morgan and her fiancé Donny Ingersall of Franklin, her granddaughter Jessie L. Morgan and several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her memorial service at the Franklin Federated Church, 171 Main St. in Franklin on Saturday, April 28 at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at Union Street Cemetery in Franklin.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in Mrs. Holst’s memory to the Franklin Federated Church Building Fund, 171 Main St., Franklin, MA 02038.
