Marcia M. (Hosmer) LaCaresse, age 97, passed away on April 18, 2018 at Heritage Hall West in Agawam. She was born on Jan. 31, 1921 in Springfield. Marcia was a daughter of the late Herbert E. and Grace (Goodnough) Hosmer. She worked as a waitress for the Collegian Court Restaurant for over 20 years before she retired. She was also a singer and entertainer for many years. Marcia is predeceased by her husband Lawrence LaCaresse who passed away in 1985. She leaves 2 sons, Donald LaCaresse and his wife Gail of Chicopee and Robert LaCaresse and his wife Sandra of South Hadley; 1 daugher Barbara Cote and her husband Ken of Springfield; 1 step son Herbert Hoague of Springfield and 1 step daughter Alice Kelly of Springfield; 1 sister Joan Wojik of Springfield; 4 grandchildren, Benjamin, Jason, Adam and Jeremy and 2 beloved great grandchildren Ella and Jesse. She is predeceased by her step son James Hoague. Calling hours will be held on Sunday, April 22, 2018 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at the Grise Funeral Home, 280 Springfield St, Chicopee. A funeral service will be held on Monday, April 23, 2018 at 9:00 AM in the funeral home followed by a Prayer Service at 10:00 AM with burial to follow in Oak Grove Cemetery.
