Anthony R. Campo, 98, of Gallup Hill Road, Ledyard, passed away on Friday, April 20, 2018 at his home. He is survived by his wife of 71 years, Alice Rose (Kominsky) Campo, and his three children, Rose A. Buckingham, Anthony J. Campo and Alice J. Campo and a grandson Michael Buckingham. He was predeceased by his brother, David Campo.
Anthony was employed for 35 years at Hendel's Petroleum Company. He served as Staff Sergeant in the U.S. Army Air Force from 1941 to 1945. He received a Good Conduct Medal, American Defense Service Medal, European African Middle Eastern Theater Campaign Ribbon and Bronze Star Medal.
A private funeral service will be held at the convenience of the family.
