Obituary

Jocelyn B. McKenzie of Mystic, Connecticut, and formerly of Riverside, Connecticut,
died peacefully on April 21st, 2018, at the Royal Westerly Nursing Home in Rhode Island.

She is survived by her husband of 60 years, William B. McKenzie.

Born on September 26, 1933, and raised in Shaker Heights, Ohio, daughter of Grant
Lindsay Wiley and Thekla Mundey Wiley, Jocelyn grew up figure skating at the
Cleveland Skating Club. She attended Vassar College and McGill University, graduating
in McGill's class of 1957. She was a double major in English and sociology, and minor
in French. A member of the Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority, Jocelyn enjoyed life-long
friendships with her sorority sisters.

She happily worked for the Greenwich Public Schools, in the library media center at
Eastern Junior High School, enjoying her co-workers and the camaraderie, retiring in
1998. Jocelyn was an active tennis player around town for many years including at
GCC, and was a member of St Paul's Episcopal Church in Riverside for over 30 years,
where she was an altar guild volunteer.

In addition to her husband, Jocelyn is survived by her daughters Mary J. McKenzie of
Stonington, CT, Kate W. McKenzie of Brooklyn, NY (son-in-law Peter Ohlin), Amy E.
McKenzie of Santa Fe, NM, and grandson Jack B. McKenzie of Santa Fe. Her brother
John Kent Wiley predeceased her in 1997.

A memorial service will be held at St Paul's in Riverside at a later date. [Donations in
Jocelyn's name can be made to Hope Hospice and Palliative Care of Rhode Island.]
