William Evans Lott, 71, of Ty Ty passed away Thursday, April 19, 2018, at his residence. A private funeral service and burial will be held for Mr. Lott at a later date.
Born February 2, 1947 in Omega, Mr. Lott was the son of the late Jessie Dillard Lott and Izzie Mae Hamm Lott. He was also preceded in death by one brother, Lamar Lott; two sisters, Betty Ruth Carr and Margaret Barron; and one grandson, Jacob Alan Saxton. Before retiring, he worked as a foreman on the bridge crew for the Georgia Department of Transportation. He was a hard worker; loved to cook; and loved football, baseball and fishing. He had lived in Tift County most of his life, with 60 years being lived in Ty Ty. He was of the Baptist faith.
Mr. Lott is survived by his wife, Linda Tomberlin Lott of Ty Ty; two sons, Tracy Lott of Tifton and Chadwick Lott of Ty Ty; two step-daughters, Marcy Carver and husband Samuel of Albany and Cathy Saxton of Sylvester; one brother, Tommy Lott of Ty Ty; three sisters, Helen Carr of Tifton, Mary Lee Seaton of Tampa, Florida and Lena Mae Willis of Saint Petersburg, Florida; and six grandsons.
