SPENCER: Carole M. (Mitchell) Roueche, 76, of Hastings Road died Tuesday, April 17 in her home after a long illness.
She leaves her husband Arthur Roueche, two sons; Robert Basili of Rutland and Andrew Basili of Ormond Beach, FL, a daughter, Gina Basili of Spencer, two sisters; Barbara Lariviere of Holden and Frances McManus of Chatham, four grandchildren; Amanda Monette, Jacob Basili, Kevin Wood and Shanee Travis, two great grandchildren; Gabriel Monette and Daemyn Travis and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Miles Jellison who passed in 1988.
Carole was born in Worcester, daughter of Francis and Mary (DiGiorno) Mitchell. She worked at ComGas Co. for many years retiring as marketing manager. She treasured the times she spent with her family especially celebrations and pool parties. Every minute was filled with love and laughter. She enjoyed reading, puzzles and dancing. She loved to travel especially to Italy and wintering in Ormond Beach, Florida. She was a great chef and a baker, passing along the skills to her grandchildren. She volunteered for many years at AIDS Project Worcester where she made wonderful friends especially Tricia and Francine.
The funeral will be held Thursday, April 19 from J. HENRI MORIN & SON FUNERAL HOME, 23 Maple Terr., Spencer with a Mass at 10:00 AM in Our Lady of the Rosary Church, 7 Church Street, Spencer. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery, Spencer. Calling hours are Wednesday, April 18 from 5:00-7:00 PM.
