H. Lowell Hamer, Jr. 97 of Derry, NH, passed away on April 11, 2018 in Florida. He was born on October 2, 1920 in Lowell, MA. a son of the late Herbert and Margarite (Moran) Hamer.
Herbert was an Army Veteran of World War II and was employed as a Rural Mail Carrier in Windham, NH for many years. He was an avid sports fan especially New England Sports.
He is survived by two daughters, Cheryl Hamer and Laurel Adame both of CA; two sons, Brian Hamer of NH, and Bradley Hamer of CA, as well and three grandchildren and three great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife, Erma I. (Brown) Hamer in 2008.
Calling hours were held on Friday, April 20, 2018 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch Street, Derry. A Funeral was held at 11:00 am on Saturday, April 21, 2018 at First Parish Church in Derry with burial that followed in Forest Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Wounded Warrior Project, PO Box 75817, Topeka, Kansas 66675-8517.
