BELMONT – David L. Ruiter, 77, of Belmont, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 14, 2018, at Concord Hospital with his family by his side. He was born in Manchester, NH on June 8, 1940, to the late Ernest and Gladys (Sowles) Ruiter.
Dave worked as a mechanic for Wiggins Airways in Manchester for many years and had formerly owned and operated his family garage, Ruiter Garage in Manchester. He had a love of cars and enjoyed working on them as well as watching them race. He was an avid Nascar fan and also enjoyed watching Fast N’ Loud while snacking on his infamous bowl of sweets.
Dave most enjoyed spending time with his family. Family members include his wife, Sharlene (Whichard) Ruiter of Belmont; daughter, Kim Keeler-Maciak and her husband, Michael of Alton; stepson, Ronnie Morris and his partner, Kim of Laconia; two grandchildren, Shannon Lacasse and her husband, Jim of Epsom and Ryan Keeler of Pembroke; and step grandson, Dakota Morris of Laconia. The family would also like to acknowledge Dave and Sharlene’s neighbor Bruce for all his support.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday, April 19, 2018 from 6pm - 8pm in the Carriage House of the Wilkinson-Beane-Simoneau-Paquette Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia.
A Time of Sharing will immediately follow the calling hours at 8pm, also at the Funeral Home.
