SOMERSET – Gerri (DuPonte) Fournier, age 71 of Somerset, passed away on Friday, April 13, 2018 in Charlton Memorial Hospital with her loving family by her side. She was the beloved wife of 30 yrs. to Joseph Fournier and the daughter of the late Manuel & Amelia “Emily” (Pereira) DuPonte. Prior to retiring, Gerri worked for Lightolier Lighting Mfg. Company as an Assembler. She also donated & supported many different organizations.
In addition to her husband of Somerset, Gerri is survived by her daughters: Kimberly LaBerge of New Bedford, Susan Adriano (wife Wendy) of New Bedford, and Paula Almeida (husband Jose) of Fall River; step-son: Joseph Fournier III of Fall River; step-daughter: Kerry DeAlmeida of Fall River; her sister: Beverly Ann Maynard; her 2 brothers: Walter Manuel DuPonte & Antone DuPonte; grandchildren: Toni-Ann LaBerge (fiancé Craig Golden), Matthew Almeida (wife Rachelle), Alex Almeida, Sara Almeida, Shelby Tripp, & Skyler Belshaw; great grandchildren: Cody & Bryn Golden; her beloved pets: Edison & Jackson.
Gerri absolutely loved and cherished her family, extended family, and friends. Her family would like to extend a warm thank you and appreciation to Dr. Marc Theroux and his staff for their years of loving care and friendship.
