Robert L. McMillan, 71, of Westport passed away Friday, April 13, 2018 at Sarah Brayton Nursing Care Center after a courageous battle with cancer. He was the husband of Nancy E. (Cunningham) McMillan.
Born in Springfield, MA, son of the late John L. and Margaret (Petrie) McMillan, he had lived in Westport for 34 years. Mr. McMillan worked for N.E. Plastics in New Bedford for 34 years. He was an active member of the Society of Plastic Engineers and the Association of Rotational Molders and was involved with the Boy Scouts. A man of few words, he was a thinker, planner and doer. Bob loved spending time with his family, and everything he did was done as a family.
Including his wife, he is survived by a son: Robert W. McMillan and his wife Holly of Weymouth, MA; a daughter: Maggie E. Bobbett and her husband Kevin of Plainville, MA; a brother: Jack McMillan and his wife Lynne of Belchertown, MA; 2 granddaughters: Charlotte and Addison; and several nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later of date.
