Linda Dale Gibbs Giddens, 68, of Enigma passed away Friday, April 13, 2018, at her residence. Her funeral service will be held at 4:00 p.m. Monday, April 16, 2018, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals with the Rev. Salone Green and the Rev. Gordon Statum officiating. Mrs. Giddens will be laid to rest at Enigma Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday, April 16, 2018, from 2:00 p.m. until the hour of the service at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Mrs. Giddens’ grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
Born December 7, 1949 in Tift County, Mrs. Giddens was the daughter of Vera M. Boykin Gibbs and the late John F. “Bill” Gibbs. Before retiring, she worked as a registered nurse for 42 years, with 31 of those years worked at Tift Regional Medical Center. She loved her family, flowers and collecting antiques bought at auctions. She was a member of Carpenter Road Church of God.
Mrs. Giddens is survived by her husband, James Arlen Giddens of Enigma; one son and daughter-in-law, Toney and Gwen Anderson of Tifton; four daughters and one son-in-law, Traci Strickland of Tifton, Tara Little of Sumner, Amy and Adam Wright of Irwin County and Chassity Nichols of Sylvester; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Connie and Starling Bussey and Donna Horn, all of Tifton; and a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
