Virginia (Perry) Vasconcellos. Age 94. Wife of the late Manuel Vasconcellos. Residence 538 Robeson St., Fall River, MA, formerly of 309 Plain St.,Rehoboth, MA. Died Thursday at the Fall River Jewish Home. Born in Fall River, MA. Daughter of the late Carlos T. Pereira and the late Rosa (Tavares) Pereira. She was a Fall River resident since 2001 previously residing in Rehoboth. Before retiring, she was a Stitcher in the local needle industry for Schnierson’s Mfg. She was a member of St. Dominic Church.
She is survived by One Son: Ronald Vasconcellos of Gilford, N.H. & Daughter-in-law Linda Vasconcellos and the former Rita Vasconcellos. Beloved Vavo of Ronald R. Vasconcellos, Lisa Stout, Patricia Amaral and Theresa Medeiros. She is also survived by Seven Great-Grandchildren, One Great-Great Grandchild and Several nieces and nephews. She was also mother of the late Manuel Vasconcellos, Jr. and Sister of the late John T. Pereira, Dimas Perry, Cecelia (Perry) Costa,and Odelia (Perry) Schofield.
Her funeral will take place from the Mnauel Rogers & Sons Funeral Home, Inc. 1521 N. Main St., Fall River, MA 02720 Monday at 7:45 A.M. with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Dominic Church, G.A.R. Highway, Swansea, MA at 9 A.M. Internment in Notre Dame Cemetery. Calling hours Sunday 3-7 P.M. (correction to wake hours)
