Ernest J. Santos, 86, of Westport passed away on Sunday, April 8, 2018 at St. Anne's Hospital. He was the husband of the late Lydia J. (Rose) Santos.
Born in Westport, son of the late Manuel and Alida (Samson) Santos, he was a lifelong resident of Westport. He worked for 31 years at Revere Copper and Brass until his retirement. Mr. Santos was a Communicant of St. John the Baptist Church, Westport. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He loved all things outdoors, especially cutting wood and working in the garden.
Survivors include a son: James M. Santos of Brockton; 2 daughters: Susan J. Elias of Westport and Sharon L. Vitale and her husband Paul of Ashland, MA; 4 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was brother of the late Robert Santos.
Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited will be Tuesday, April 17, 2018 from the Potter Funeral Home at 9:00 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. John the Baptist Church, Westport at 10:00 AM.
Calling hours will be Monday from 4-6 PM.
Interment in Beech Grove Cemetery, Westport.
