Helen (Smith) Doane, 91, of Westport died Saturday, April 7, 2018 at Charlton Memorial Hospital. She was wife of the late Edward B. Doane. Born in Pawtucket, RI, she was daughter of the late Albert and Sarah (McMahon) Smith. Mrs. Doane worked at A.S. Deams in Westport until her retirement. She will be remembered for her cheerful, positive outlook on life.
Survivors include her sister: Alberta Smith of Lincoln, RI; and several nieces and nephews.
She was sister of the late James Smith, Sarah Hinderson, Frances Smith, Doris Carroll, Albert J. Smith and Arthur T. Smith.
Graveside service to which relatives and friends are invited will be Thursday, April 19, 2018 at Christ Church Cemetery, Swansea at 11 AM.
