Ruby F. Clemons, 81, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Tuesday, April 10, 2018, at her son’s residence.
Graveside services will be held 11 AM, Thursday, April 12, 2018, at Evergreen Cemetery, in Fitzgerald, with the Rev. Earlie Holt officiating. The family will receive friends from 6-8 Wednesday evening at the funeral home in Fitzgerald.
Miss Clemons was born March 12, 1937, in LaGrange, Georgia, to the late William Barney & Annie Ruby Rogers Clemons. She worked as a clerk for a pharmacy while living in Atlanta and also worked as a CNA and private sitter. She was also a waitress for many years. Miss Clemons loved fishing and enjoyed gardening, especially growing flowers and tomatoes. She was of the Baptist faith and attended Christian Tabernacle.
She is survived by her two sons: Rodney “PeeWee” Clemons & Wilma Jean of Fitzgerald and William Clemons & Stephanie of Rochelle; grandchildren: Cory & Sara Chaney of Fitzgerald and Priscilla Clemons & Jai Hannah of Fitzgerald; two great-grandchildren: Clay Easom and Lane Easom; as well as other extended beloved family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by five brothers and six sisters.
