Obituary

James ‘Jack’ Walter Sewell III, 18, of Franklin, died unexpectedly from injuries sustained from a car accident on April 8,2018 at Rhode Island Hospital surrounded by his family.

Born in Framingham on March 24, 2000 the son of James Sewell Jr. and Kelley (Finley) Sewell of Franklin, Jack was senior at Franklin High School having been a part of the Franklin school system since kindergarten. He was knitted into this community through sports having played baseball, lacrosse, football, and ultimate frisbee. He loved all things outdoors, including hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, and four-wheeling with his dad, brother, and all the guys. He loved computers and technology; including video games and creating music. His smile could melt hearts. He loved his family and friends fiercely and if you ever met him, even once, you were his friend for life.

In addition to his parents he is survived by his younger brother Joseph Sewell of Franklin, grandparents: James and Carolyn Sewell, Nicholas and Dianne Nerboso, and Peter Finley, aunts and uncles: Robert Todd and Michelle (Sewell) Sharpe and, the late Gary Sharpe, Shannon Cress, Justin Finley, Jason and Alison Finley, Phil and Sharon Nerboso, cousins: Tyler Sharpe, Karli Sharpe, Evan Cress, McKenna Cress, Colby Todd, Lilly Nerboso, Harper Finley, Carys Finley, and Dolly Nerboso, great-uncle and aunts: Bob and Sue Tucci, Wally and Sue Thibeau, James and Michelle Finley, Tim Finley, Robert and Bushra Nerboso, and Frank Sewell, and cousins Sean Thibeau, Kristen McKinnon, Charlie McKinnon, Jessie Tucci, Melissa Finley, Erin Finley, Tara Finley, Neal Finley, Megan Finley, and Sarah Nerboso.

Calling hours will be Friday, April 13 from 4-8 pm in the Ginley Funeral Home of Franklin (www.ginleyfuneralhomes.com) 131 Main Street, Franklin.

His funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday April 14 in St. Mary’s Church Franklin at 10:00, followed by a reception at The Rome Restaurant in Franklin MA.

The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to the Bellingham EMS and the Good Samaritan neighbor who cared for Jack at the scene of the accident, all the Doctors and Nurses at Rhode Island Hospital, The Organ Donation team who tended to him, as well as our whole family, and to the entire Franklin Community for all the love and support shown to us in this very difficult time.
