MUSTO, Luisa (Mercadante) 87, of Walpole formerly of Dedham, died Monday, April 9, 2018 at Brigham and Women’s Hospital.
She was born in San Michele, Italy and came to America in 1958 with her two oldest children to join her husband, Luigi Musto. Together they built two successful construction companies and a loving family with six children. She was most at home in the basement kitchen where she dished out love in the form of homemade pasta and biscotti.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Luigi in 2000 and brother Angelo Mercadante. She is survived by her six children Ines Petruzziello of Walpole, Annamaria Bitto of Dedham, Doris Bavaro of Walpole, Giuseppe Musto of Walpole, Rossana Gonser of Walpole, and Franco Musto of Medfield; thirteen grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and two sisters Valentina Silvestri and Carmelina Picone and brother Michele Mercadante of Italy. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Funeral from the George F. Doherty & Sons Wilson-Cannon Funeral Home, 456 High St., DEDHAM, Thursday, April 12 at 9am followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Mary of the Assumption Church, Dedham at 10am. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Visiting hours at the funeral home Wednesday, April 11 from 4-8pm. Interment in Brookdale Cemetery, Dedham.
