James "Jimmy" A. Frontera of Medford died on Sunday, April 8, at the Massachusetts General Hospital of Boston. Born and raised in Boston's North End, he was the son of the late Vincent "Pops" and the late Mary (Raso) Frontera. Jimmy lived in East Boston for many years before moving to Medford 23 years ago.
Jimmy was the beloved husband of Josephine (Carr) Frontera, and the devoted father of Andrea Binger and her husband Desmond of Salem, Jimmy Frontera of Revere, Joseph A. Carr and his wife Cindy of Blandford, William F. Carr of Arlington, and Robert M. Carr of Lowell. He was the loving grandfather of Braden, Joseph, Michael, Kevin, William, Brian, Celisse, Robert and Anthony, and the loving great grandfather of Breelyn and Blakelyn. Jimmy was the dear brother of Pauline Parziale of Reading and the late Donna Valarese, and is survived by many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be conducted in the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford on Wednesday, April 11, at 7 PM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend and may visit with family from 4 through 7 PM. Interment will be private.
