Harry is survived by his son Harry Skeffington and his wife Suzanne Nathan of Boston, MA as well as his daughter Lisa Pedersen and her husband David of Chesapeake, VA. Predeceased by his parents Helen Skeffington of Boston, MA and Harry Joseph Skeffington of New Jersey. His brother Pvt 1st class Walter Skeffington and sister Brenda Skeffington Lisson.
He is also survived by sisters Barbara Skeffington Bart, Carolyn Skeffington Hanrahan, four grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
Harry was born on April 19, 1943 in Boston, MA to Harry and Helen Skeffington. He graduated from high school in 1961. Following high school he married Sonia Reyes. Harry began working for the US Postal Service as a mail carrier and rose to the position of postal clerk. Harry became a union steward for the American Postal Workers Union and over his 46-year career at the post office represented and defended the interests of his fellow postal workers.
A memorial service will be held 12-2 PM at Casper Funeral Home located at 187 Dorchester Street in South Boston with a reception to follow from 3 pm to 6 pm at Harry’s son's home.
