PARSONSFIELD- Virginia R. Hasty, 100, of Parsonsfield, passed away peacefully at the Bridgton Healthcare Center on Friday, April 6, 2018. “Ginny” was born in Portland, Maine, on January 29, 1918, the daughter of Shirley W. and Althea W. Flint.
In the early 1920’s the family moved to Parsonsfield where she grew up, attending a one room school and then graduating from Parsonsfield Seminary.
After WWII, she married Keith L. Hasty, with whom she had three sons and over 65 years of adventures, with much time spent at their camp on Penobscot Pond in Northern Maine.
Virginia was predeceased by her husband Keith; a son, David E. Hasty; and a granddaughter, Heather A. Hasty.
She is survived by her sons; Stephen E. Hasty and wife Sharon, and Michael E. Hasty and wife Cindi; three grandchildren, four great grandchildren, and a loving extended family.
A graveside service and interment at the Maplewood Cemetery is planned for late spring.
