Ana C. Batista, 67, of New Bedford died Thursday April 5, 2018 at St. Luke's Hospital. She was the wife of Carlos P. Lopez.
Born in Santiago, Dominican Republic, she lived in New York City for many years before moving to New Bedford in 1992
She is survived by her husband, Carlos; four children. Cristina Lopez, Gisi Batista, Carlos Batista, and Elizabeth Batista; six grandchildren, Jose Montanez, Ariel Montanez, Lexiss Montanez, Malia DeMaio, Annais Polanco, and Carmine Colon; two great-grandchildren, Meleena Montanez and Elisiana Montanez; six brothers and two sisters; and many nieces and nephews.
Her Funeral will be held on Tuesday April 10, 2018 at 9 AM from the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford, followed by her Funeral Mass at 10 AM at Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish at St. James Church.
